Happy Birthday Conner!

A special Birthday message for Conner from Audrey and Buddy!

We miss you and wish more than anything we could be with you on your 24th birthday! We are in spirit however and know there are many more years to come to celebrate together!

Buddy has soooo enjoyed playing outside at the tennis courts lately, which I enjoy as well. I give him his giant tennis ball and he just runs all around. And then I get my workout in running around the courts not having to worry about him! He looooves it!

Buddy at Grandma and Grandpa's House playing in the backyard playing with his new ball! He likes the backyard!

This is Buddy's sleeping spot. It's morning and he won't get up! He's like "man it's dark outside still mama!" I have to drag him out of bed to take him out! :D

Hope all is well and everyone is having a good start to the week! Easter weekend coming soon! :D

Oh Life!

Oh life! Full of up's and down's always! I'm watching Extreme Makeover Home Edition on tv right now. It is a family from Wichita, KS! The dad played baseball at WSU and family a huge sports family. Part of the family was in a car accident and the father was injured and became paralized from the neck down. It truely makes you think about what your complaining about in life. What are your problems right now? This man makes the best of his situations now. He uses his humor and has a positive outlook on life. This family is deserving and is truely inspiring! So even though you have moments of weakness, sometimes you feel like things aren't going right, be thankful and glad for what you have. Cause it could be a whole lot worse! A chill weekend I've been spending with Buddy! Filled with lots of playing ball, relaxing, laundry and catching up on things around here. Excited for next weekend, Easter and going back home for a visit! Weather has been so so, starting to warm up every now and then, but stupid wind is awful it seems like all the time! Starting to feel more like Spring though and that excites me as well. What's even more exciting will be my visit to Conner next month. Gosh seems to far away right now!!! Can't wait to see him! :D Ending on a wonderful verse I read the other night...."If the Lord delights in a man's way, he makes his steps firm; though he stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand." Psalm 37:23-24 The Lord is always there to back you up. In your struggles and triumphs! Believe in Him to lead you down the path he has choosen for a reason! Sometimes the reason unknown and hard to understand at the time, yet will transfrom you into who and where you are meant to be.

Nerves & excitement

I'm sitting here in my normal recliner, Buddy laying on the end of it, watching the Biggest Loser! Love it! Conner is playing his first baseball game tonight as a Stockton Port! I am soooo excited his season is starting! Yet very nervous too. I'm thousands and thousands of miles away and all I want is to be in Stockton, watching him play! It's so nerve racking listening on the computer! :) But I love it! Baseball season has began! Tonight is just an exhibition game against the Triple-A team and tomorrow night as well. Thursday night will be there season opener! But it is on the internet radio right now and I'm so nervous! Can't even imagine how they are feeling! He is leading off and playing second! Praying for the best! Wahoooo lead off base hit! That a kid! :D I'm proud of my man! Well on another note. Weather is finally warming back up, let's hope it stays this way! Keeping super busy with work and working out and training! I feel like I'm non-stop during the day. Nice to come home in the evenings and relax a bit. Buddy has figured out how to escape out of his cage while I am gone at work. So now he stays out of his cage while I'm gone. I think about him all day then and worry! Sometimes when I come home he is just sitting in the bedroom looking out the window. Cracks me up! I wonder what he does all day long?! He does pretty well, I have changed blinds already, but that's partly my own fault. He's a good dog. I don't have holes in the furniture or anything...knock on wood! :) This weekend having a garage sale back in GB which should be fun. Let's pray for good weather, no rain! Selling a bunch of TV's, with new technology flat screen TV's are the thing, not those huge box ones. So have a bunch of them to get rid of. Cleaned house and closets and have a bunch of little things to get rid of. Money will then be going to "Wedding Funds". So let's hope for a good turnout! ;) Well time to tune into the game and listen. So proud of my fiance and all the accomplishments he already has had! He's such a hard worker and has such a passion for the game! He deserves all the best! Love you! Woof woof ruff (from Bud) On a final note....LET'S GO PORTS!

"Bigger than my Body"

It is amazing what the body can do! I've been running more lately outside, the burning of the lungs, quads tight, hammies pullin! But I love it! I love feeling the "pain" because it's such a blessing and I praise God that I am able to do this! I'm able to run on these two legs; I'm able to be sore; I'm able to get my heart racing! Even though I don't always feel good at the time, I'm still greatful I can!

On Wednesday our intern at work participated in EVERY Group Fitness class we have! 10 classes starting at 5:45am ending at 8pm! At first it sounds kinda fun, a challenge, but hey you could slack a little bit, nobody would know. Except he didn't! He went all out in every class from Spin, to Zumba, to Power Pump, to SHRED, and finished with PiYo! He was taking donations for Relay for Life and raised over $200!!! WOW! By the time 4:30 came he had to go straight through until 8! He started cramping a bit towards the last couple of classes, but that didn't stop him! What will he had and determination! What awesome gift God gave him to be able to accomplish such a task! Once again, two legs not feeling good towards the end, but doing great things and raising money for a good cause!

Conner has been suiting up lately for a lot of the Oakland A's Spring Training games! He's sitting on the bench with the actual team!!! How cool is that! He doesn't usually get in, but still, WOW! As I'm writting this he is sittin on the bench there now! He had to practice alllll day long and then go suit up for the big league game! He's tired mentally and physically but he's living the dream I'd say, such a blessing once again! About a week left of spring training and then they'll be shipped out to their respective teams. The games will begin then! Love listening to his games and cheering him on! :) Can't wait to visit wherever that may be!

Buddy and I cleaned the apartment today! A much needed task of organzing, laundry and cleaning. A perfect day to do so as well since it was cold and rainy! Got a lot accomplished and made the day go pretty fast. Looking forward to chillin again tomorrow, working a little, watching KU and preparing for a new week ahead. Can't believe March is about over already! But looking forward to more springy weather!

Monday monday

Well Monday evening and sitting here playing with Buddy and his Giant tennis ball! It's really set in now that Conner is gone! :( I feel bad for Buddy cause he has to sit in his cage ALL day long while I'm at work! Poor guy. So I took him to the tennis courts to run right away when I got off work tonight. He LOVES just running around! We take the tennis ball with us but he doesn't really wanna play fetch. He just runs all around with the ball in his mouth the whole time. So I chase him, then he chases me, then I'll get the ball and throw it. Just such nice weather out I hope it stays like this soon.

Bike is in the shop getting it's tune up! I'm sooo ready to ride. Getting back into running slowly but surely. I'd say 4 miles isn't too bad right now. I wish I could take Bud with me in the morning, but he just wants to chase the birds the whole time, too stressful. Love listening to nature and see the sun rise! I love how all the fruit is starting to get into season! Taste so good and so ready for "summer" foods. Farmers market please! And of course love that it's almost baseball season! Opening day in a couple of weeks.

Well back to the same grind, work out, work, work, work, and then relax! Looking forward to the weekend and watchin some lady hornet tennis action! Hopefully sun stays out, need to work on a tan badly! I wish I was climbing mountains in Arizona instead working on my tan! ;)

Spring Training

Well it is that time of year again. Spring Training has began and Conner is no longer home! This year I got to experience Spring Training myself! We drove the 17 hour drive to Phoenix in one day. Talk about sore butts! 5 states in one day! Not bad! We left bright and early and made it just after it got dark. The 2 hour time zone difference helped! We got settled in to a hotel for a few nights and Conner started practicing right away. The weather was beautiful! So ready for hot summer now! Was in upper 80's the whole time. So nice to wear shorts and flip flops all day long! I got a little shopping in while Con practiced. He took me site seeing and showed me all the things he got to experience and where he had lived in the past! It was so neat to be in his element and where he had been!

Day 2 of Spring Training Conner got called up to suit up for the Big League game! Sweet! Take me out to the ball game! Went over to the the stadium they play the actual Oakland A's spring training games and caught myself a baseball game! Was soooo neat to see Conner suited in the A's jersey, number 1! He got in the top of the 8th, playing second base. Made it to the on deck circle and the batter before finished the game so didn't get to bat. Was still so neat to see him in the game! :D I'm a proud fiance! :D

So was a wonderful "vacation" and so nice to get away for awhile with Conner. Only problem was I had to leave him there! Wish I could just stay there the 3 weeks they are out there! Some day ;) Now back home to Buddy and he is glad at least one of his parents is home! He sure does miss his daddy, but glad he got him a present! Buddy loves his giant tennis ball! It smells like daddy!

So here's to a new season of ball! I wish you the best of luck Conner and am with you all the way! I can't wait to visit at your next stop and root you on! There is nothing I love more than supporting you!! Be careful and keep following those dreams! Love you!

Pitter Patter

Buddy at work for a bit with Mom! He loved running around especially in the gym. His little paws pitter pattered all around, so funny! He can't get a good grip on that slick floor! Enjoy!
